McLean T. Wilson is a principal of Kemmons Wilson Companies and in that role he provides oversight to the company's hotel and real estate development interests.
He is President of Valor Hospitality Partners, our hotel management company based out of Atlanta as well as the Chief Investment Officer of Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners, a hotel fund. And for the better part of the past decade, McLean co-led the redevelopment efforts of the 1.5 million square foot and $250 million Sears Crosstown Redevelopment Project in Memphis now known as the award-winning Crosstown Concourse.
Before joining the family business, McLean began his career as a commercial broker for Spaulding and Slye Colliers international in Washington, DC. Over the following years McLean worked in various roles ranging from a high school math teacher, financial advisor, and strategy intern.
McLean's professional board involvement includes Valor Hospitality Partners, Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners as well as Billy Reid. He is also a former board member of the Intercontinental Hotel Groups Owner's Association, and was previously a chairman of the Revenue Performance Committee and Holiday Inn Committee (IAHI).
Passionate about giving back to the community, McLean is the Chairman of the Board at the Collegiate School of Memphis, President of CORRE, LLC and serves at Eikon ministries as a trusted advisor. He is also on the board of Hutchison School for Girls and Crosstown Arts.
He earned his MBA at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a BS in Commerce from University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce.
McLean is married with five children, including a set of quadruplets. McLean’s love for the outdoors took him to the Northwest where he found a passion for skiing, fishing, and marathon running.
