Dick Groves is a proven hotel operating executive with over 35 years of experience in sales and marketing, operations and asset management.
Mr. Groves commenced his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation, where he spent 22 years with increasing responsibilities culminating in his position as Area Vice President and General Manager for the Hilton Atlanta & Towers. His area responsibilities included four Hilton and DoubleTree managed hotels in Charlotte and Atlanta totaling 2600 rooms. During his tenure with Hilton, Mr. Groves also held management positions at the Hilton San Francisco Airport, Palmer House-Hilton (Chicago), the Rye Town Hilton, the New York Statler Hilton and the New Orleans Hilton & Towers.
Mr. Groves subsequently joined Noble Investment Group, an Atlanta-based hospitality investment firm, where he served as Senior Vice President with sales and marketing leadership responsibility for Noble's thirteen full-service hotels. One of his notable assignments at Noble included acting as interim President of Callway Gardens Resort which included the Cottages, Inn and Villas and the Noble owned Lodge and Spa.
Following his tenure at Noble, he served as Managing Director of La Toretta Lake Resort and Spa, a 445 room all-suite resort with conference center, tennis, golf and a 3.5 acre "Aqua Park."
