Manchester’s Doubletree by Hilton hotel has unveiled its newly-revamped restaurant and bar ready to be officially opened this weekend.
The former City Cafe has been transformed into the Store Street Exchange restaurant, while across the lobby, the new Store Street Craft Bar takes the place of Urban.
Their names are a nod to nearby Piccadilly Station, which was originally called Store Street when it opened in 1842, while the area’s history as a transport hub has also inspired the industrial decor.
Clusters of Edison-style filament bulbs light up both spaces, which are furnished with comfy leather booths and armchairs.
