A winning night for Valor at the IHG Sales & Marketing Awards

Valor picked up four awards at the annual InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Sales & Marketing Awards on January 18th, making us the most successful of all the nominated management companies.

The awards took place as part of IHG’s 2018 UK & Ireland Sales & Marketing Kick-Off Conference at the Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown in Dublin.

At the awards evening, Debbie Skelson, Director of Sales at Crowne Plaza Nottingham, was named Sales Manager of the Year.

In the category for Most Remarkable Sales Achievement for the Crowne Plaza brand, the Crowne Plaza Stratford was awarded, whilst Hotel Indigo Liverpool picked up the same accolade in the Indigo brand category.

Valor Hospitality Europe’s extensive rebranding of the Stratford, Solihull, Harrogate and Plymouth Holiday Inn hotels to Crowne Plaza properties was named Best Hotel Marketing Initiative.

IHG’s annual ‘kick-off’ is designed to empower, educate and engage hotel management teams, with discussion on best practice in sales and marketing, and the opportunity to network taking place throughout the day.

Vanessa Jackman, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Valor, said: “Last year was a busy one for our sales and marketing teams, with several hotel rebrands, major extensions, such as DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester, and the creation of new F&B concepts, including The Lock in Leeds and Store Street Exchange in Manchester.
